2012 AOPA-China Is Going to Set Sail in August

2012 AOPA-China, co-sponsored by Aircraft Owner & Pilot Association and Shenyang Municipal People's Government, will be held at Caihu General Airport in Faku County, Shenyang City from 23 to 27 August 2013. With "sharing the blue-sky, taking off towards dreams" as the theme, it will be a general aviation celebration of common people in the country for the first time.

Under China's management and reform over the airspace,  with promoting economic development of China's general aviation at the core, 2012 AOPA China will have a deep discussion on the development of China's low-altitude economy and GA inudstry.
The convention will include:
  •  2012 China's Low-altitude Economic Forum and AOPA-China Annual Convention
  •  2012 AOPA-China International Airshow at Faku County, Shenyang City (on-site GA display and aerobatic flight).
Specialists and scholars of aviation authorities and relevant administrations, as well as other fields, will be invited to discuss the following issues that aroused extensive concern in GA industry:
  •  Development of GA Industry Chains and Relevant Industries
  •  Project Determination, Examination and Approval, Construction, Operation Administration and Capital Operation of GA Companies & GA Airports
  •  Age Limits for Flying of China's GA Pilots
  •  Discussion on the Development of Making or Assembling Experimental Aircraft in China
About 200 aircrafts will be on exhibition and more than 500 government officals, pilots and guests from all over the world will get together at the celebration. In particular, world famous aerobatic team Yakovlevs will be carrying out a number of different display during 2012 AOPA. In the meantime, four or five old Chinese pilots who are over 70 years of age - all with more than 50 years of continuous flying experience - will come and support the great occasion by way of fantastic flying action.

Besides, more than a dozen self-made or assembled experimental aircrafts, which are very popular abroad and much favored by enthusiasts in China, will be on display. Though the market foreground of this kind of aircraft is very vast, there are no regulatory statutes and standards to this field in China. The display will hopefully make further understanding in public more knowledge on flight safety.
