AVIC Electromechanical Systems and Hamilton Sundstrand (subsidiary of United Technologies) held a contract signing ceremony in Beijing on March 3rd to celebrate the formation of a new joint venture to develop the C919 electrical power systems. With a total investment of $145 million, and registered capital at $48 million, the new 50/50 joint venture aims to develop power generation and distribution systems for COMAC's C919, and plans to be the Class I supplier for the project.
