The Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of Honeywell Boyun Aviation Systems (Hunan) Co., Ltd., the supplier of wheels and brake system for C919 aircraft, was held in Changsha, Hunan province on August 8th, 2012. This company will undertake the tasks of developing and manufacturing wheels and brake system for C919 aircraft after the company is established.
Mr. Zhou Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, declared the commencement of the Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of Honeywell Boyun Aviation Systems (Hunan) Co., Ltd. Mr. Xu Shousheng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Governor of Hunan Province, Mr. Chen Runer, standing committee member of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, Mr. Jin Zhuanglong, Chairman of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd (COMAC), Mr. Tim Mahoney, President and CEO of Honeywell Aerospace, and Mr. Gao Wenbing, Secretary of CPC Committee of Central South University, made speeches at the foundation stone laying ceremony. Mr. Chen Zhaoxiong, standing committee member of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Vice Governor of Hunan Province, Mr. Yi Lianhong, standing committee member and Deputy Secretary-General of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Mr. Liu Jiugui, Deputy Director General of Department of High and New Technology Development and Industrialization of Ministry of Science and Technology, Mr. Li Benjian, Deputy Director General of Equipment Industry Department of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and Mr. Wu Guanghui, Vice President of COMAC, attended the ceremony.
It is reported that Honeywell Boyun Aviation Systems (Hunan) Co., Ltd. is jointly founded by Hunan Boyun New Materials Co., Ltd. and Honeywell. The registered capital is $80 million, and the total investment is $500 million. Honeywell Boyun Aviation Systems (Hunan) Co., Ltd. mainly undertakes the design, development, manufacture, test, qualification, certification and marketing of aircraft wheel and brake system, and provides services relevant to carbon brake disc, wheel, and structural parts and control system thereof.
