Training for PPL (H) is Increasingly Flourishing in China

The market for helicopter training for PPL(H) is caught up in a wave of popularity in China.

According to the program of domestic helicopter development in the next few years, China's civil helicopter is expected to maintain a growth of 25 percent in the coming five years. It is conservatively estimated that, by 2020, the number will reach 2,100. Calculated by one helicopter with 3 pilots, China may face enormous breach of 6,300 helicopter pilots in recent ten years.

Now, only 1,100 people in China have private pilot licence. Confronted with the gap in the market which has just emerged, capable flying enthusiasts are firing up for flight training and  private pilot licences. Training organizations for PPL(H) are trying to seize the business opportunity provided by the market gap.

The first training organization for PPL(H) in North China will offer training courses in Beijing this month. The 3-month training expense will be 250,000 RMB, while seemingly costly, still attracts lots of aviation enthusiasts. Meanwhile, in order to occupy the market early, training schools for PPL(H) in Shanghai, Chongqing, Yantai and other cities are recruiting people now.
