An agreement signed this month between China and Embraer to build business jets at the Harbin Embraer Aircraft Industry facilities is limited to the Brazilian OEM’s Legacy 650.
According to Embraer Executive Jets president Ernie Edwards, the Legacy 650s built in Harbin will be solely for the Chinese market. Edwards also said executive interior installations will be done at the Harbin facility, using primary cabin components such as cabinetry and upholstered seats shipped from Brazil. The Legacy 600 and Legacy 650 production line in Brazil remains active and will continue to produce executive jets for the rest of the world.
