Aerospace Life-Support Industries Ltd of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) has been granted design approval for passenger seats by the United States' Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). AVIC's deputy general manager, Zhang Xinguo, said the approval is a milestone for China's aviation manufacturing industry, as in the past the company's passenger seats could only be installed on domestically made plans.
